Dave Dub

Known for his poetical approach and pure conceptual content. Dave is definitely a San Jose Legend. If there were to be an exact opposite to the lyrical structure of Dracula, Dave will be the man. 100% unorthodox, pure chaos and anarchy describes his approach to the mic. "I focus on words, concepts, and content, more than style or delivery" has always been the saying of Dave Dub since he picked up the pen. That is why his words are so powerful, they captures the hearts and minds of many. With a distinctive voice, edgy delivery, deep concepts he has earned the highest respect from the O.G.'s in the rhyme game, he's free to pillage the mic as he pleases. Raised in San Francisco in the 80s, Dave describes his childhood as lonely and isolated. By the time he reached high school, his mother sent him to live with his grandmother in the quainter city just south of the Bay, San Jose. This is when he teamed up with a local native named, Zest. The year was 1991, and both emcees couldn't believe how much they had in common. So they merge their existing crews into one, "Disciple X Trybe". The Trybe would later morph into many crew names, ending at Camp Crystal Lake. After being exposed to groups like Bad Brains to Iggy Pop, Dave's music horizon began to expand. His discography is long and historic, as a solo artist and as half of the notorious group Subcontents, where he stars opposite Persevere. Founding record label Isolated Wax, Dave has found many ways to express his creativity, one of them being his latest release "Mind Police". Currently Dave is working on a long overdue project with his brother Zest the SMoker. The duo is known as "Black Christ", formerly known as Siamese Warlock. Black Christ promises to complete the circle, projecting the full range and peak of their skill, bathing and baptized in Crystal Lake.
